World of Goo Developer Finds Publishers, DRM Unnecessary If you want something done right, do it yourself. That seems to be Ron Carmel’s motto.

Max Payne 3 Announced
The next installment of the Max Payne series is bullet timing its way to Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and the PC this winter.

Does GTA have a place on Nintendo Platforms? Should Mario be living next to a drug dealer? I mean, he does eat mushrooms on a daily basis.

Tomb Raider Underworld: Lara’s Shadow DLC Review Can DLC save Lara from another mediocre game? Probably not.

And in other news…

Capcom Delays "Versus" Resident Evil 5 DLC Let the arguments begin again. Should Capcom even be releasing this as DLC or should it have been included on the disc? Would people have been singing a different tune if they also received extra Mercenaries mode characters and levels in this add-on?
Either way, it is being released as DLC and has been delayed until April 9 in Japan (from the original date of March 26). The Versus mode DLC will cost $5 (or 400 Microsoft Points).

PETA Slams Activision Over Dog Killing in Call of Duty: World at War Tired of playing that racism simulator known as Resident Evil 5? Come play Call of Puppies: War on dogs!
After complaints by a Massachusetts high school Animal Rights Club, animal rights organization, PETA, are also expressing their displeasure with killing dogs in Activision Blizzard ’s Call of Duty: World at War. To go along with their complaints, PETA are sending copies of Nintendogs to the Acitivision Blizzard offices. Assuming they are just like everyone else that has played Nintendogs, Acitivision Blizzard will neglect their puppies and go play a better game.

BioShock’s Creator Hints at New Game Want to know what 2K Boston co-founder Ken Levine and company are working on next? Well, the only way to find out is to apply for a job at 2K Boston apparently. "In fact, the only way to get a look at it is to interview for a job with us," said Levine referring to the hiring 2K Boston is doing at the Game Developer’s Conference all this week. Pokmon devs not planning Wii game or MMO Pokemon Platinum game director Junichi Masuda says there are no plans for a Wii or MMO version of the popular franchise. He feels that the core of the game is meeting up with friends and trading those little critters in person, not by the faceless means of the online trading feature included in the most recent installments.
He also mentions that each entry in the Pokemon series has a specific concept, with Diamond and Pearl being the "ultimate" Pokemon game. If Diamond and Pearl were the "ultimate" versions, what is Platinum? Apparently, it is another "ultimate" version.

Sony Now Charging Publishers For PS3 Downloadable Content, An Unpopular Policy Shift
Sony is now charging publishers 16 cents per Gigabyte for bandwidth fees. While this might be bad news for some publishers, it could possibly make them think twice about nickle and diming gamers, as they are getting the same treatment from Sony it seems.
According to MTV Multiplayer, "content on the PS3’s PSN store supports Sony’s claim that publishers aren’t pulling material." So, now it seems that publishers need to think twice about the quality of the DLC they throw out there.

Jack Thompson Asks President Obama For Ban On Killer Games
Jack Thompson is at it again. This time he is asking President Obama "as one father to another" to put a ban on all "murder simulators." Basically, Thompson still believes that videogames are the root of all that is evil in this world.
Are videogames really the cause for most of the murder sprees around the world? Probably not, but parents need to keep a watchful eye on what their children play. I think that is something called parenting.
