Rumor has it that those waiting to purchase a Xbox 360 will soon get a chance to get the system for cheaper. According to a leaked sales ad for Toys R Us and Walmart, the price drop will be $50 on the Xbox Premium 360 System and is expected to surface some time around August 12th.

Word on the street is that Sony is going through a lawsuit. According to claims filed by Next Generation, Sony has violated a patent filed in October 1991 by Next Generation for their Cell Processor. Next Generation filed the patent 5,056,000 which describes a Cell Processor capable of “Synchronized Parallel Processing with Shared Memory”. Next Generation is seeking damages, reimbursement of legal fees, interest, and the destruction of all Cell Processors in violation of the patent.
