New Console Buyer’s Guide: Wii
Posted by Joseph DeLia, 349 days ago

Super Mario Galaxy
(Nintendo, 2007, Metacritic Score: 97)

Super Mario Galaxy

Mario returns to his platforming roots, but this time…in outer space! Fly from planet to planet as you help out locals and take down massive bosses in an outstanding Mario adventure that lives up to the enormous hype. Super Mario Galaxy is stuffed full of variety, as each of the 100+ planets is vastly different and requires intelligent thinking and platforming skill to accomplish everything and save the princess. This is, in my opinion, the single best game on the Wii, and one that everyone should own.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
(Nintendo, 2008, Metacritic Score: 93)
Check out the TGR Review here!

Smash Bros Brawl

Featuring new characters, weapons, locals, and even online play, Super Smash Bros Brawl provides a ton of great options for Smash veterans and newcomers alike. The fast-paced, easy-to-learn yet hard-to-master gameplay is still intact and even deeper now with the addition of special moves that can clear a screen of opponents. Brawl contains a massive cast, including old favorites like Mario and Link, as well as rookies like Sonic the Hedgehog and Solid Snake, and a full story mode with a ton of nods to gaming’s past that are sure to please longtime Nintendo fans.
