The Master Chief's story is, for the moment, over but there is still much room in the Halo universe for furthe stories. This breadth of storytelling is revealed in Bungie's development of Halo 3 :Recon which places the player in the role of an ODST(Orbital Drop Shock Trooper) who fights in the battles leading up the Master Chief's apperance at New Mombasa.
