Saints Row 2 Comes to PC
Posted by Brandon Hess, Jun 2, 2008 17:32

Using some crack investigative tactics, Big Download stomped THQ’s yard until a PR rep told them what they wanted to hear: a PC SKU of Saints Row 2 was on its way. While no release date has been confirmed, Gamestop has asserted early on a concurrent release and lower price. Joystiq doesn’t seem surprised by the event, citing THQ’s financial woes and sizable layoffs; what better reason is there to spread the love to more players?

The title takes place a few years after the ending of the original Saints Row, several new gangs have moved into Stilwater and have begun to challenge the Saints. The Man gets involved, too, with the Ultor Corporation looking to clean up and rebuild the town. Volition has stated that they want to push a darker story: your character wants revenge on those who did him in during the original title. He won’t be doing it quietly, dropping the mute act to add to the game’s 60,000 lines of dialogue.
