PS3 owners/lovers of eccentric RPGs based on the delusions of a dying composer are out of luck, unless you live in the Land of the Rising Sun that is. A Namco Bandai US spokesperson has stated that the PS3 version of Eternal Sonata, the RPG based on the fictional world dreamed up by a fever-wracked Chopin on his deathbed, "is only announced for... Japan right now."
The spokesperson, knowing the first rule of PR is to always keep the public’s interest piqued, did leave a door open for an eventual release though, stating that they have no plans to release the game in the US "at the moment." Statements like these usually hint that more news is coming on down the line, but the company isn’t ready to talk about it yet.
Of course, most gamers can avoid the whole morass by simply buying the game for the Xbox 360, seeing as it has been available in the US for quite some time now and even received a fairly positive review from right here at TGR. Of course, if you only own a PS3 but are still really jonesing for this game, you can always import a copy and make up your own dialogue. Sometimes games are more fun that way anyhow.
