Don King Presents: Prizefighter Goes Gold
Posted by Brad Hilderbrand, Jun 3, 2008 16:55

Fans of both the sweet science and the rather loquacious Don King will be happy to know that his namesake game has gone gold and will be available for purchase one week from today.

The game takes the traditional "up from nothing" storyline, allowing you to guide a boxer from obscurity to international superstardom, forcing you to go through the likes of Larry Holmes, Ken Norton, and Andrew Golota along the way. The title is also claiming to boast a fully immersive storyline, complete with a training regime and temptations of wealth and stardom. Two of these "temptations" come in the form of 2007 Penthouse Pet of the Year Heather Vandeven, and "video vixen" Bria Myles. You can keep your cauliflowered ears and swolen-shut eyes: I’ll take the temptations please, thank you.

Those looking to mix it up with the silver-tongued King and his various propagated prognosticators of pugilism can mark their calendars for June 10, the date the game drops on the Xbox 360. Wii and Nintendo DS owners will get their chance to perform dangerous and delirious acts of daring-do later this Fall.
