The good people over at SOCOM.com have today announced that there will be a public beta for its highly anticipated online shooter SOCOM Confrontation for the PSN. According to the announcement, there will be a couple of ways to get in. First would be by pre-order (Metal Gear Online comes to mind) from an un-named retailer that has yet to be announced.

The other way will be by the new PSN online program called Qore. Subscribers to Qore will get the opportunity to participate in the Public Beta when it’s available. Well that’s defiantly one way to get people to subscribe to the new online program. You can bet your chickens that TheGameReviews.com will be in the beta with our impressions this summer.
