Three weeks after its launch, Funcom have announced that they have shipped 1 million units worldwide of its fantasy MMO Age of Conan. Age of Conan is definitely having a strong first month, dominating European charts while also having a strong performance on the UK and US charts.
"Sales data shows that Age of Conan is the biggest MMO launch since World of Warcraft," says Funcom Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Morten Larssen. "The numbers are very promising, and we are very proud to be one of the fastest selling PC games ever in a launch month and the biggest simultaneous Europe/US MMO launch in history."
It looks like World of Warcraft has a challenger that could in time dethrone the MMO king. Due to the overwhelming response for the game, Funcom promises more servers are being ready to support the tons of gamers eager to take on the world of Conan. What do you think of the game?
