- Treyarch is not pulling any punches as it attempts to follow Call of Duty 4, announcing four player online co-op for Call of Duty: World at War. Apparently, they were disappointed with their last try that had too steep a deadline.
- Though officially scheduled to release on June 26th, the online beta test for Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix has opened for some users amidst problems.
- Talking to an audience during the Paris Game Developers Conference, Mark Healy of Media Molecule voiced concern over the popular opinion that good games need big development teams.
- Major Nelson announces the first of five new maps for Frontlines: Fuel of War, and it’s free.
- EB Games, a.k.a. GameStop, is acquiring another brick-and-mortar game shop, this time in New Zealand.
- The entire Playstation Network will be down for scheduled maintenance on June 24th, and no, it has nothing to do with the upcoming 2.40 firmware update.
- A study by the ESA shows that use of serious games for workplace training is increasing, and we all know that games of any kind are better than training manuals and cheesy videos.
- The full setlist for Guitar Hero: Aerosmith has been revealed. There’s also a chance of seeing Guitar Hero: Beatles, as talks have begun between the band’s recordkeepers and Activision/MTV.
- Speaking on GameTrailers’ Bonus Round, N’Gai Croal of Newsweek, along with Steven Totilo of MTV’s Multiplayer and Brian Crecente of Kotaku, spoke on Microsoft’s efforts to beat Nintendo to the casual market.
- Though Rick Moranis won’t be voicing the fifth Ghostbuster in the upcoming game, Dan Aykroyd and the gang seem confident you can handle the job.
