During the latest monthly update over at the official Halo Wars website, developer Ensemble Studios gave some hopeful news of finally seeing Halo Wars in action and playable for everyone at this years E3. Halo Wars missed out on this year’s Microsoft Gamers Day in San Francisco, which then lead to rumors that the game will miss its scheduled 2008 release date. But it seems not all is lost as Ensemble Studios had this to say:

“We’re going to be showing a recent build of the game. We have a milestone that is shortly before E3, so we’re going to take a few days to test it and make sure it’s running well, then take it to LA. A lot more of the game will be visible and hopefully we will be able to hand over the controller to let people try it for themselves. We’ve come a long way in the last year, so get ready for a new look under the hood.”

Certainly good news for what looks like the real-time strategy game to finally break onto the console. You can bet that TGR will be there at E3 and will be giving you all the latest news and announcements straight to you as soon as they are released.
