Chrono Trigger Coming to Nintendo DS
Posted by Brad Hilderbrand, Jul 2, 2008 14:08

It all started with a clock.

On the official Square-Enix website, visitors can view a special page which simply features a clock counting down and the words "Nintendo DS." Many posited that, given the style of the clock and Square-Enix’s penchant for re-releasing classic RPGs on the handheld, this must be their subtle way of announcing Chrono Trigger.

They were right.

Today, the company announced that the game will hit US shores this holiday season, and that it will feature stylus controls, wireless play, and an exclusive new dungeon.

If you haven’t bought a DS yet, now would be a good time, as there is no reason for anyone not to play this game. Indeed, anyone who doesn’t play it, DS or no, I will personally come to their house and cast Death. Even better, since this is Chrono Trigger, I’ll go back in time and kill their ancestors, so that the offending party is never even born to hear about the existence of Chrono Trigger. Yeah, I’m hardcore like that.
