For a few brief shining moments, European gamers increased their opinion of EA, if only slightly. Reports had come out that Rock Band 2 would be released simultaneously in the US and Europe in September, but it turns out that’s not the case at all.

EA has stated that there is no firm release date for the title yet, attributing the original report to a "misunderstanding," leading most to believe that the game won’t make its debut until sometime well into 2009.

So unfortunately, European gamers are left out in the cold yet again, and as American gamers rock out to the new set list and features, our friends across the Atlantic will have to continue to abide by the same old, same old. Thanks a lot EA, now I’m sure Anti-Americanism, which seemed to finally be abating with the promise of a new president, will flare right back up again. I’d better keep practicing my Canadian accent...
