It’s Bungie Day!
Posted by Brad Hilderbrand, Jul 7, 2008 13:25

So did everyone out their enjoy the long weekend? Dine on animal flesh cooked over an open flame and watch explosives fly up and paint the night sky with many colors? That’s very good. And I bet you were worried that you’d have to go back to work today, sad and depressed that the festivities were over, and now have nothing to look forward to until Labor Day. Well, cheer up bucko, because it’s Bungie Day!

That’s right, Microsoft is celebrating this made-up totally real holiday by offering you a brand new Halo 3 map, as well as a special Bungie Day Theme and Gamerpics for the low, low price of 0 pesos. The new map is called "Cold Storage," and it’s an update of the "Chill Out" map from the original Halo. And if all that wasn’t enough for you, anyone who’s held out to buy the Legendary Map Pack can now do so at a discount, as the price has dropped to 600 points.

So go forth and celebrate Bungie Day in a manner befitting the cause, which I suppose means pounding your friends over the head with the Gravity Hammer while they yell "Buuuuungiiiiie Daaaay" as they fly through the air. At least, that’s how I plan to celebrate, but I’m traditional like that.
