Sony Prepares New Content for PAIN
Posted by Brad Hilderbrand, Jul 9, 2008 19:21

PAIN is a guilty pleasure game, one of those experiences you boot up when you’re having fond Jackass flashbacks and want to see someone hit in the nuts by a heavy object. The only problem with the game is that there’s only been one stage available since the title’s launch, and it’s starting to get a bit old. Sure, it’s fun to knock grandma into the subway train, but after a while, you just yearn for more.

Sony and Idol Minds understand your needs, and have today announced an add-on for the game, "Uncle Jimmy’s Fun Spot Amusement Park." The new level features all sorts of rides and booths for your physical torture, as well as six new gameplay modes. The new add-on will also feature Trophy support and online multiplayer.

So far, all we know is that the new content will arrive "this summer" with no word on cost. I suppose with new features like Trophy support and multiplayer, this will be a freebie, but considering that this is the game that makes you pay $0.99 for every new character, I wouldn’t put it past them to make us pay heartily for the privilege of wrecking up something other than "Downtown" for a while.
