Pretty much everyone you ask says the biggest (and possibly only) shock of E3 was the announcement that Final Fantasy 13 would be making its way to the Xbox 360. A million PS3 fanboys died inside on that day, and simply sulked away with their heads hung low as 360 owners toasted their success in doing nothing but being jerks. Now, Sony lovers are receiving retribution, as next year they will have the opportunity to be the first to play Final Fantasy 13.
According to Square-Enix, the Blu-ray re-release of Advent Children will feature an included playable demo for this most final of fantasies, as well as trailers for Final Fantasy Versus 13 and the newly-announced Final Fantasy Agito 13. Of course, since all these discs will be in the Blu-ray format, and since there is currently only one gaming machine that can play Blu-ray games, well... you know the rest.
Of course, this would be the perfect time for Microsoft to announce its new Xbox 360 Blu-ray edition, further inciting the wrath of Kaz and his minions. But, assuming that sign of the apocalypse doesn’t come true, PS3 owners should be the first to get some play time with Final Fantasy 13 this March when Advent Children makes its high-definition debut.
