There will also be a port of the title available for the Nintendo DS coming November 27th. Geometry Wars: Galaxies has already been given GameSpy’s The Best of E3 2007 Top Five Wii Game Award. The game, which has been developed in a 2d format, pits players against limitless rows of enemies across 60 different levels.

The game also has all new gameplay feature known as the Battle Drone that assist’s the player in game by obeying orders to attack, defend, or collect geoms which are in-game currency that increase a player’s multiplayer score, to buy new planets, or additional orders that the Battle Drone can carry out. Both Wii and Nintendo DS owners can connect games together in multiplayer mode using Nintendo’s Wi-Fi Connection so players can unlock bonus levels or post their highest scores on leadboards set up for both the Wii and DS versions of the game.

Pascal Brochier, president of Global Retail for Sierra’s parent company Vivendi Games, stated that “Geometry Wars: Galaxies is a perfect complement to any video game collection this holiday season,” and will attract fans of the series due to  “60 times the amount of gameplay, introduced multiplayer, added Wi-Fi” that gives gamers “a complete gaming experience for home or on the road.”
