Madden-Themed PSP Hits Shelves
Posted by Brad Hilderbrand, Aug 12, 2008 17:59

Today is that annual ritual of summer, the day in which everyone in the world storms their local game shop to pick up a copy of Madden for their console of choice and proceed to spend hour after hour setting ticket prices and selling luxury suites in order to pull in enough cash to pay for Terrell Owens’ ego-ectomy. There may even be some of you who want to take your football on the road, and for that, Sony brings you the Madden NFL ’09 "PSP Entertainment Pack."

This shiny new bundle includes a metallic blue PSP (in case you weren’t feeling the black, white, silver, or red editions), as well as a copy of Madden ’09 (duh), "In Just One Play" UMD (I don’t know what it is either), a 1GB memory stick (very important), and a voucher for a free copy of the downloadable game Beats (insert witticism here).

While we don’t have specific pricing, we assume the bundle will go for the $199.99 standard with all PSP hardware/software conglomerations, but with the price of gas going up, John Madden might be forcing you to pay more so he can continue riding on his bus and eating only the world’s finest Turducken. But hey, if you were gonna buy Madden and a PSP anyway, why not throw the two together and get some free stuff while you’re at it?
