2K Sports, the division of Take-Two Interactive responsible for sport games, has announced that College Hoops 2K8 now been released for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PS2 game consoles. College Hoops 2K8 is the latest series of what GameRankings.com has named the number of college basketball game for five years due to continually providing gamers with the realistic basketball gaming experience possible. The game features new additions such as a carefully rendered college basketball environments that include chants from the crowd that can help a home team to victory with the 6th Man Advantage addition, court side cheerleaders and 70 different team uniforms to provide the player with as much realism as possible during gameplay. Players can also train their skills against some of the most well know faces in college basketball such as Mike Conley, Glen David, Gred Oden, J.J. Redick, Al Thorntin, Alando Tucker, and Julian Wright. The gamepaly system has also been changed with the Toal Control Passing scheme where one press of the button opens up a number of control options that give players access to a full range of passing options via the face buttons.
Players can also use the Play Designer to design their own teams and add them to the playbook already featured in the game that can be shared using the 2K Share feature where customized settings such as school chants, customized plays, and game slides can be shared with online friends and players. The Legacy mode has also been augmented by the addition with new Amateur Basketball Leagues, Create-A Recruit-and other additions. There is also a soundtrack which features 200 college fight songs and some of the most popular current musical titles from bands and DJ artists.
