While pretty much everyone with an Xbox 360 has already played and adored BioShock, PS3 owners are still waiting to get their hands on their own enhanced edition of the much-beloved underwater shooter. Your time in the dark has come to an end, as the PS3 descent into Rapture begins October 24th.

In addition to all the award-winning goodness of the original, PS3 owners will also get to try out the brand new, punishingly hard "Survivor" difficulty, as well as downloadable "Challenge Rooms" which act as your chance to show just how handy your are with those plasmid abilities. Also, the game will be supporting Trophies, so now that time you beat up a Big Daddy with a wrench might just actually be worth something. Here’s a Trophy I just thought up: beat the game on Survivor difficulty with Vita Chambers turned off using only a wrench. Pull that off and send me the video to prove it and I’ll send you your very own trophy, perhaps one of my little league baseball "participation" awards.
