Chances are, when Wii Fit was launched in April you were all gung ho about using a video game to get your flabby self in shape. All you had to do was dig out your exercise pants from the bottom of the closet, head down to the store to pick up a copy, set it up, and you would be able to go from a size Mario to a size Luigi in no time. Problem is, the elusive Balance Board game is pretty much impossible to find unless you happen to be at the store at just the right time, and so many have become dejected and turned back to their Twinkie-eating ways.
It’s time to unearth yourself from that pile of plastic wrappers, as Nintendo is promising that Wii Fit is coming back with a vengeance and this time, you won’t have any trouble finding yourself a copy. The company speaks:
"Nintendo had a substantial supply nationwide for launch, though some stores saw spot shortages due to unprecedented demand for this unique product... We are providing retailers with a constant supply of Wii Fit, so you should see a regular supply of Wii Fit on store shelves as we move through summer and into the holidays."
This of course means you can get into really good shape before Thanksgiving and Christmas, gorge yourself during the holidays, thereby regaining all the weight you lost, then feel guilty and resolve to use Wii Fit more as a New Year’s Resolution. So anybody out there still looking to pick up this modern marvel of fitness technology, or has the fad passed and now you see it as just a really expensive bathroom scale?
