Those downloading the PS3 version of last week’s Rock Band DLC (featuring Jonathan Coulton, MC Frontalot, and Darkest of the Hillside Thickets) have been reporting isolated problems when it comes to actually accessing the tracks. According to reports, players have been able to successfully download the tracks, but the songs are freezing on the loading screen, requiring a full system reboot every time an attempt is made to access them.

Both Harmonix and Sony are unsure of what is causing the issue and are looking into possible resolutions. With this problem being restricted to the PS3 only, it would seem that something has gone wrong in the console-specific coding.

We’ll keep an eye on the issue and be on the lookout for a resolution. In the meantime though, if you try and download these tracks and can’t get them to work, don’t fret; help is on the way.
