Gillette and EA have joined forces to create the "Champions of Gaming Tournament," a worldwide event that kicks off in October. The contest, held over Xbox Live, challenges entrants to strut their stuff in a number of EA Sports titles, with finalists being flown to Florida to compete against not only one another, but against the likes of Tiger Woods, Roger Federer and Thierry Henry.
We haven’t yet heard about the specific tournament structure or prizes for winners, but we do know what games you need to start practicing if you’re hoping to make it to the big show. The event will be featuring the 09 versions of Tiger Woods PGA Tour, NASCAR, NBA Live, FIFA, and of course Madden.
Stretch out your thumbs, crank up "Eye of the Tiger," and start training. You need to be in top gaming shape if you’re going to take on these actual athletes. Well, all except Tiger, he’s got a bum knee so you could probably beat him with one hand. Don’t get cocky though, he’s still got a bazillion dollars and a hot wife, so no matter how bad you beat him at his own game, he still wins.
