Force Unleashed Demo Breaks Download Records

Proving the Star Wars’ franchise still maintains its cultural relevance, ComputerandVideoGames reports that the demo for The Force Unleashed now officially holds the record as fastest to a million downloads. Breaking the mark in only 8 days, this shatters the record previously held by Too Human.

Readers should note the similarities between the two titles: Both are highly anticipated games that have been in development for a while; both have had their fair share of controversy (Force Unleashed due to adding a new piece of canon, and Too Human due to creator Denis Dyack); both are receiving middling review scores.

So if over a million of you out there have checked out the demo, what are your thoughts? I was personally a bit let down, considering the Force powers were a bit difficult to control and the fact the auto-targeting was a bit squirrelly, and I’ve also heard that later in the game there are enemies who can negate your Force powers entirely, thus making parts of the game kind of a drag. But hey, I’m just one man, and I can be wrong about things, so am I wrong?
