With Animal Crossing: City Folk’s release just around the corner, Nintendo of America has devised a dress up contest to help promote it. Unlike a typical cosplay venture, the protagonists here have to be your poor pets.

With some imagination and skill, you could be one of 50 entrants to win a Wii and a copy of Animal Crossing: City Folk, as well as Wii Speak, Nintendo’s voice chat solution, which makes its debut with the game.

The best part is that you don’t even have to dress your pets as characters from the franschise, so you’re free from creative restrictions. Just, please, think of your pet’s feelings while deciding. Don’t make us (or your neighbors) consider calling PETA or anything.
