Back when Sony launched Qore, the subscription-based service set to bring the latest and greatest in PlayStation news, many weren’t sure if it was worth the price of admission ($2.99 for a single issue, $24.99 for the year). While Sony was offering "exclusive content" to all those who took the plunge, we were left wondering what exactly that content might be. Were users were going to be getting early access to top-shelf content, or worthless demos of crappy games? From the looks of things, it’s going to be the former.

Sony has announced that anyone who purchases the November issue of Qore (both annual subscribers and one-time buyers) will receive special access to the Home closed beta. The new issue of Qore will also take players on a virtual tour of Home, showing off some of the service’s nifty features that we’ve all been waiting on since the release of the PS3.

Is this enough incentive to get anyone out there to purchase Qore? I know it’s basically paying to get into a beta, and there are some ethical issues with that for some, but you are getting other goodies in the deal, so it’s at least a bit more legit. Of course, you could just find out you plunked down good money to be bored to tears by the lack of things to do in Home, but you never know, it could be fun.
