World of Warcraft, arguably the most popular massive multiplayer game on the planet, has reached another milestone. The online role-playing game has just surpassed the eleven million member mark.

Take a moment to let that sink in. Eleven million members.

World Of Warcraft was the best selling game in 2005 and 2006 and was outsold by its own expansion pack, The Burning Crusades, last year. The game holds the title of the fastest-selling PC game of all time as well. But having enough players to start a small country has got to be the most rewarding accolade.

With possibly another record-setting expansion, The Wrath of the Lich King, set for release next month, it looks as though the strong just keep getting stronger.
