What Will High Voltage Software Make Next?
Posted by Korey McMurtrey, Nov 3, 2008 08:53

The Conduit

High Voltage Software has no intent of resting on their laurels as they polish their Wii FPS, The Conduit. They recently landed Sega as the publisher of this incredibly visually appealing Wii game, which is scheduled for release early next year.

High Voltage’s Eric Nofsinger, in an interview with WiiRincontrol, reveals they will be announcing several titles already in development in the near future. More specifically, when asked about High Voltage making a much-needed RPG for the Wii, Hofsinger responded by saying, “That really is another area that could use a shot in the arm… We feel that there are a number of genres that are poorly represented on the Wii for core gamers. We want to do games that are high quality.” Nofsinger also revealed that the Wii is High Voltage Software’s favorite system.

For as much acclaim as The Conduit has received, particularly for its top-tier Wii visuals, the thought of an RPG from High Voltage is particularly exciting considering that there are practically none available except on the Virtual Console. While the Wii is overflowing with mundane shovelware, it’s nice to see a developer putting in the extra effort to make (hopefully) high quality titles for the system. Keep your fingers crossed and your eyes wide open for future announcements from High Voltage.
