Today, DICE announced that Mirror’s Edge for the PS3 and Xbox 360 has indeed shipped to retailers worldwide. There’s also a few other little bits of information in the press release pertaining to the first-person parkour-inspired action-adventure game.
Long after the console version of the game is in stores, the PC version of Mirror’s Edge will ship in North America in January 2009.
DICE also announced that they are currently developing downloadable content that will be available at the beginning of the year.
Sony previously confirmed that the PS3 version of Mirror’s Edge would receive exclusive downloadable content. Does today’s announced DLC include the Sony-exclusive DLC? Not necessarily. Gamecyte confirmed that today’s announcement referenced downloadable content for both platforms. We’ll have to wait and see when PS3 users will get their exclusive content, and just what form it will take.
