Prices Dropped on Three XBLA Titles
Posted by Nick Place, Nov 12, 2008 21:54

Gamers who logged on to the Xbox Live Marketplace today to check out this week’s new Xbox Live Arcade game were probably a little disappointed to find there was no new release this week. Instead, Microsoft has lowered the prices on three older XBLA titles.

Mortal Kombat 3, Worms, and Feeding Frenzy have received discounts, dropping the price on all three games to 400 Microsoft points ($5) from their original price of 800 points ($10.)

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 is the arcade-special version of ye olde-school Mortal Kombat 3, with Scorpion added back in a few extra characters. Older gamers will remember MK3 as the game that introduced, for better or worse, friendships and babalities.

Worms is the XBLA version of the 2D turn-based strategy title where cute worms bring painful death upon each other with crazy, wholly impractical weapons.

Feeding Frenzy, the only original game of the trio, is a single-player 2D game that casts players as a small fish in a big pond with the goal of eating smaller fish and avoiding bigger fish. It’s kind of like the first stage in Spore.
