If you value your LittleBigPlanet progress you might want to wait until this latest glitch is patched before playing the new Metal Gear Solid downloable level pack. Users from the “Little Big Workshop” forum are reporting that they are losing saved data after getting the new content.
A quote from forum dweller SuperPhillip explains the nuisance: "I’ve completed all five acts, and when I turned off the power and played again, all that was unlocked was Act 1-3. However, my scores from Act 4 and 5 were still in place -- it’s just that I need to unlock them all over again as well as collect the prize bubbles."
Others have reported losing community objects, saved costumes, and stickers. All of this seems to be happening after they downloaded the new Metal Gear Solid content.
"I lost four costumes and she lost all 12 of her saved costumes, as well as losing the level status," user justsayno2girls wrote. "Also, we found that all of our community and saved photos were erased too,"
There is a theory of what may be causing this, as stated by PS3 Fanboy: "The MGS pack also adds a large amount of data to one’s profile. The game may be automatically deleting content when a profile gets too large."
Neither Media Molecule nor Sony have commented on this issue yet. Let’s hope the holiday season doesn’t delay any action to patch this glitch, which has created some harsh utterances from gamers. "Same crap happening to me," forum poster Spideywebs wrote. "These are cool levels, but I really hope they fix this fast. Can’t they do anything right?"
