TheGameReviews.com received information today that PWNED.com, a site that is unique in offering social networking opportunities to gamers, has been launched this week. This launch follows on the well received closed beta test that concluded last Monday and which garnered literally thousands of requests to participate in the beta and ALSO resulted in over 325,000 individual page opinions in the first week of it’s operation. Part of Pwned.com’s uniqueness the compensation plan that Pwned.com offers it’s users. Members of Pwned.com can recieve Pwned Points by using various features of the site. During it’s opening week dozens of the users on Pwned.com received over $100 dollars of Pwned Points by using features of the site such as watching or offered comments on videos, pictures, game trailers, and other assorted multimedia. In addition the Chief Marketing Officer of Pwned.Com, Mark Bartkowiak, announced that Pwned. Com had arranged a deal with Rockstar Games that would assist Pwned.Com to “help market, promote, and advertise their new and upcoming game titles on the current beta site and on the public site to launch in 2008.” Mr. Bartowiak also added that Pwned.com was “in talks with many other video game companies” and that Pwned.Com “will be announcing more gaming industry partnerships and more celebrity gamer profiles to be added in the first quarter of 2008.”
