Sam and Max: On their Way to Xbox Live
Posted by Heath Hooker, 259 days ago Feb 26, 2009 16:38

Telltale Games has announced that they are expanding their content on the Xbox Live Arcade with the first two seasons of Sam and Max.

A few weeks back, Telltale mentioned they were releasing Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Adventures to Xbox Live, and now Sam and Max is coming along too. Sam and Max seasons one and two are already out in the retail DVD version. They will also release the Sam and Max series for WiiWare and PC, and are very excited to bring it to the Xbox Live Arcade.

"With Sam & Max coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade and the approaching retail launch, we’re reaching a larger audience than we ever have before," said Telltale CEO Dan Connors. Connors went on to say that the Sam and Max releases gives them a change to better show the “imaginative stories that make Sam and Max games so special.”

Telltale will offer season one, Sam & Max Save the World, and season two, Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space. Both these titles will be offered, as well as the 2009 Atari retail version of season two, and they will be offered in full season bundles.

The Wallace and Gromit series is coming to Xbox Live sometime this spring, but there hasn’t been any confirmation on when Sam and Max will hit the Arcade. You can catch the first look at Sam and Max XBLA style first in the Xbox Magazine in their next issue.

Sam and Max will again, be released for XBLA, PC, and Wii. Let the hilarity begin.
