How much do you love Resident Evil? Certainly enough to drop sixty bucks when Resident Evil 5 hits store shelves on March 13, for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, but what about sacrificing your flesh and blood?
Fortunately, Capcom only wants your blood (probably your money too, though). In collaboration with the American Red Cross, Capcom is hosting a blood drive on March 13, at the World of Wonder gallery in the Los Angeles, CA area. So, before you run off to pick up a copy of Resident Evil 5, you are invited to first donate some blood to bolster the Red Cross’ supply and help out those in need. Just make sure you are not infected with the T-virus or any other biological super weapon before giving, please.
In addition to the (I imagine) juice and cookies, Capcom also has a host of other exclusive prizes for blood donors. One-of-a-kind posters, pins, bumper stickers and more will be given away to participants. Also, free copies of Resident Evil 5 and a few limited edition red Resident Evil 5 Xbox 360 bundles will go to a handful of lucky winners.
Drop-ins are more than welcome to donate blood, but Capcom is encouraging those interested to contact them beforehand and make an appointment.
For those interested in helping out the community and getting the chance to win some sick prizes, fire off the following information to: teresa@fortyseven.com, with “Give RE5 a Shot” as the subject line.

The blood drive will take place on March 13, at the World of Wonder gallery at 6650 Hollywood Blvd. Los Angeles CA, 90028, from 11 am – 5 pm.
