Bethesda Game Studios, Oblivion and Fallout 3 developer, announced today that they will be releasing the new Fallout 3 DLC entitled The Pitt this month. And yes, we have the new screenshots.
The Pitt will put you into the “post-apocalyptic remains” of you guessed it, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. What a clever name. The DLC will be bringing a lot more to Fallout 3 than just a new environment. It will present you with side quests, moral questions, and all kinds of stuff. How about new weapons? There will be new weapons including a new weapon called the AutoAxe, a melee weapon with all kinds of power, but mostly just the power to beat the crap out of your enemies. There will also be new enemies. I know, I know….Geez, weren’t the first ones hard enough?
The Pitt DLC opens with an escaped slave named Wernher trying to get your attention with a desperate radio message. It seems he knows someone with a cure for mutations, and he wants you to go check it out. This is when your moral questions come into play, and you have to decide how you will go check out this character who supposedly has the cure.
Also, for you Fallout 3 fans out there, don’t forget to download the update Bethesda released yesterday, because it’s the only way you will get to play The Pitt DLC.
The Pitt will be released in March of 2009, which is very soon, considering it’s this month. It will be released for the Xbox 360 and PC, and it will cost 800 points.
