Army of Two 2: It’s Coming
Posted by Heath Hooker, 259 days ago Mar 12, 2009 14:07

There’s nothing like playing the first Army of Two, and telling your partner to come save you. Likely, he will do one or two things: die fighting, or actually save you. Most of the time he just died fighting (at least for me). Ah…the memories of Army of Two. But EA couldn’t let that memory die, and as of today, EA Montreal has announced Army of Two: The 40th Day.

In the press release, Reid Schneider, Executive Producer for the game, said, “Army of Two: The 40th Day, we’re pushing the tactical two-man military team into new battlegrounds offering a completely organic and rich co-op experience to deliver an action-packed co-op shooter this winter.”

Yeah, I’m hearing spouting off commands to your partner again. I really hope he comes to my aide this time, because I wasn’t even that good at the first game. I really need a good partner if I’m going to make it through, especially if we are kicking butt in Shanghai.

Schneider also said, “As chaos blankets Shanghai, China, you must rely on your partner to survive as you weave through a broken city left devastated in a mysterious wake.” That’s right, my friends. The game will be set in Shanghai, China. You will be thrown in the city, and will have to use your co-op tactics if you hope to make it through.

Looks like we’ll be hearing a lot more of, “I gotcha Tyse.”

The game is to be released on Xbox 360, PS3, and PSP. What the … PSP? They really are trying to rejuvanate the PSP system. Anyways, there is no exact release date yet, but EA believes it will be released sometime this winter.
