According to Blu-Ray.com, the Blu-ray edition of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete will be finally be making its way the United States on June 7th. Like most films that receive the high-definition treatment, Advent Children will be presented in 1080p, Dolby TrueHD 5.1, and feature both Japanese and English audio.
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete is the director’s cut of the film that includes a number of extended scenes that did not make it into the theatrical cut or DVD edition. Advent Children, which made its debut in Japan in September 2005 and was released on DVD in the United States in April 2006, continues after the events of the role-playing video game, Final Fantasy VII, and follows Cloud Strife as he and his comrades attempt to discover the cause behind a mysterious illness that plagues their world.
Advent Children Complete boasts a number of special features, including an original animated film entitled "On the Way to a Smile." The most anticipated bonus that comes shipped on its blu-ray disc is the inclusion of an exclusive special sneak peak of Square-Enix’s upcoming Final Fantasy XIII. If the American version is the same as the one sold in Japan, the sneak-peak is really a lengthy demo.
However, if the list of features on Blu-Ray.com is accurate, quite a few of the extras that made it into the Limited Collector’s Edition of Advent Children are absent. Perhaps the most noticeable exclusion is the animated short "Last Order" which serves as prologue to the video game.
