Gears of War 2: Dark Corners Officially Announced
Posted by Heath Hooker, 203 days ago May 6, 2009 23:44

DLCs seem to raking in tons of money these days, and companies just keep publishing them one after another. Gears of War 2 has been extremely popular since its release, so it stands to reason that we’ll be seeing some DLC in the future right? The Dark Corners DLC has been rumored, but now has been officially announced, and it definitely has a lot of content.

Gears of War 2: Dark Corners is a map pack, but also offers more content for single player and co-op as well. The DLC will offer a “never before seen” level where you must try out your stealth skills to get through or just destroy every single enemy in your path. It’s your choice.

Other than that, Dark Corners is essentially a map pack that features seven new multiplayer maps. The maps are named Nowhere, Way Station, Locust, Sanctuary, Allfathers Garden, Memorial, and Highway.

The previous map packs will also be available in a new retail package that brings them all together called All Fronts. All Fronts will offer the Snowblind, Combustible, and Flashback maps which have already been released, along with Dark Corners, and many other small Gears of War fanatic necessities. Gears of War 2: All Fronts and Gears of War 2: Dark Corners will both be released on July 28th. All Fronts will retail for $20 in stores, and Dark Corners will be available on Xbox Live Marketplace for 1,600 Microsoft points ($20).
