Sly Cooper Devs Form New Studio
Posted by Heath Hooker, 195 days ago May 14, 2009 07:10

Now is hardly the best time to be leaving ones sweet development job at a well established developer. However, Matthew Scott and Dev Madan have moved on from Sucker Punch Studios, known for Sly Cooper games among others, and have developed a new studio out of Seattle called Loose Cannon Studios.

Matthew Scott and Dev Madan are both well known for their work in the Sly Cooper series. Scott has also worked for Crave Entertainment and Monolith games. Madan, on the other hand, has been a comic book artist and helped develop a comic before launching Sucker Punch Studios.

Another well known person in the video game world, Ricci Rukavina, will sign on as president of Loose Cannon Studios. He also has quite an impressive resume as he has worked with Universal Interactive Studios and Vivendi Games with which he worked on such games as Spyro the Dragon and a few other film adaptation games. Not to mention, he also worked on such major productions as Jurassic Park and Twister.

Loose Cannon Studios is currently working on its first game. Not much is known about the game as of yet except it will be released multi-platform (Wii, PS3, Xbox 360) and should hit shelves late summer or early fall. The Loose Cannon official website also said to “Keep an eye on Loose Cannon Studios News for upcoming announcements in the weeks leading up to E3.” So, we may see some code sooner than one would think.

For more information on the new studio, feel free to access the official Loose Cannon Studios website.
