Changing Colors: Wii Nunchuk’s begin to turn pink?
Posted by Grasty, Dec 31, 2007 08:25

A few gamers have surfaced on the Nintendo Forums stating that the cable and joystick on their Nunchuk controllers for their Nintendo Wii system have turned pink. The discoloration was initially blamed on the kids saying that they must have been eating something that was red or pink. However, a few others have also spoke up saying that their controllers have also turned pink.

The Nintendo forums offer up quite a bit of solutions to the issue. Some say that it is a chemical and that you should not use the controller that the pigmentation of an unwashed shirt was rubbing off on the cable, cold temperatures, sweaty hands, as well as a variety of other “possible” solutions from fellow gamers.

There was however, one post claiming that a similar problem was reported on Apple MacBooks in that exposure to UV radiation was causing the coloration issues. This could be a good solution considering other gamers have reported blue and green nunchuk controllers. In which case the coloration would most likely be due to leaving the controllers in the car on a sunny day. This is just speculation though as Nintendo has not mentioned anything regarding the coloration of the controllers.

More information to come as it is released.
