It was recently announced that Ubisoft, creators of the hit game Assassin’s Creed, will be delaying three of their 2008 titles. Those on hold include Far Cry 2, Tom Clancy’s Endwar, and Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway. No indication on when exactly they will be released other than that they will be released some time in the 2008 fiscal year, which starts in April.
According to sources, the delay is not actually due to Ubisoft not being able to complete the game and instead is due to money. Ubisoft has pushed back these titles so that they can “fill the shelves” with other games to help boost revenue and boost numbers on their financial reports which are due on February 23rd.
Also, Ubisoft plans to increase sales predictions for the hit game Assassin’s Creed as it has already surpassed their current prediction of 3 million copies sold. The new prediction will be raised to 5 million.
More information to come as it is released.
