Posted by Nick24444, Jan 2, 2008 13:05

Today Evergreen Events, the sponsor of what was formerly known as the OGDC, has rung in the new year by giving it the brand spanking new name of the ION Game Conference. In addition to the new name, logo, and homepage the “the identity and schedule for ION is not only on track but infused with an even stronger focus”. For those of you out there who have not heard of the ION Game Conference is an annual event that concentrates of the development of the online game sector of the industry on a multi-platform level. This year’s event, which has been dubbed “redefining online”, will run from May 13-15 of this year at the Seattle Waterfront Marriot Hotel in Seattle, Washington. Numerous representatives of firms that have developed online game and other leaders of the video game business industry will be present at this year’s conference to “celebrate and further the online game ecosystem”.

This process will be assisted by increasing the number of days that the conference will run from two days to three all of which will be packed chock full of keynote address, sessions, and discussion panels all of which will serve to provide visitors to the ION Game Conference a new perception of the complex universes that exist in today’s online game market. This new view will be created by exploring a number of angles such as the current status of current business activities, product development, and the new legal rulings to a close examination of scalability, the mindset of online game players, and an examination of the complex and novel economies that exist within online games. There will also be opportunities for conference attendees to participate in networking with other figures in the online gaming industry at the conference’s Welcome Reception at opening night and the ION 2008’s official conference party.
