Educational version of Guitar Hero to be unveiled.
Posted by Nick24444, Jan 3, 2008 15:15

In addition to the other marvelous new wonders that will be displayed as this year’s Consumer Electronics Show also comes a new prototype version of Guitar Hero that has been developed by The Music Wizard Group. This new version, which The MWG has dubbed Guitar Wizard, follows on the heels of the company’s Piano Wizard title. While not yet being officially released the Guitar Wizard platform that the company has developed has already seen use in conjunction with Mattel’s “I Can Play Guitar” item which saw favorable holiday sales.

Guitar Wizard, while sharing similarities with Guitar Hero, has been created to be more along the lines of a musical teaching tool then a video game. Guitar Wizard, which has been created for both PC’s and Mac’s, comes with a Washburn guitar and a MIDI pickup. These tools will be utilized in conjunction with a 4-step method that assists the player, or learner, in how to play guitar and read guitar music very quickly. Demonstrations of Guitar Wizard at the Consumer Electronics Show will be located at the Allegro Rainbow Booth in the South Hall.
