Konami delivers a taste of the old school.
Posted by Nick24444, Jan 3, 2008 15:42

Konami announced today that it is developing a new arcade style horror game for release on the Nintendo Wii. The game, titled Target: Terror, is a remake of Target: Terror Gold which was developed in 2006 by Eugene Jarvis, the founder of Raw Thrills, Inc, which was also the creatoe of Big Buck Hunter PRO.  Target: Terror is the first game created by Konami which will feature use of Nintendo’s recently developed Wii Zapper peripheral during gameplay. By using the Wii Zapper players will be suddenly in the middle of an old style arcade light gun shooter. In Target: Terror players will be put into the role of a top notch counter terrorist agent who will be defending the United  States from wave upon wave of terrorists.

In defense of American shores players of Target: Terror will traverse the whole United States with a hefty arsenal of equipment which includes machine guns, grenade launchers, freeze guns, flamethrowers, and the big daddy of them all a laser fired directly from space onto it’s target. The game also features “Justice Mode” which allows for dual wielding to cause double the trouble. There’s also a number of mini games that can be unlocked as the player progresses through the game and also have their roots in arcade classics of the past.

Target: Terror, which will be developed by Leviathan  Games is due to be released on the Nintendo Wii in the first quarters of 2008. More information can be found on visiting www.konami.com
