Delicious Gaming: McDonalds no longer to blame for Child Obesity
Posted by Grasty, Jan 8, 2008 11:15

According to recent reports, Steve Easterbrook has been quoted saying that the childhood obesity crisis is not their fault. Instead of pointing the finger at McDonalds, we should instead be blaming the true villain of the childhood obesity rampage - video games.

According to Easterbrook, the reason so many children are overweight and obese is because video games are too much fun and kids would rather play a game than go outside and “burn off energy.”

In his defense, Easterbrook is stating that the food and drink industry is also to blame; however, he went on to say that the popularity of games have reduced the time young people spend outdoors, which is the biggest problem.

So put down Wii Sports and drive over to your local McDonalds where you can pick up a “nutritious” BigMac with a Super Si... large order of fries.

As a side note, where is our video documentary of someone playing video games for 30 days and getting fat?

More information to come as it is released.

Actually I’ve lost weight since I’ve started really getting into gaming. I eat less and burn off energy through playing games like Guitar Hero. So boo on you!
