Midway Selects Sports Stars to be Stars of New Basketball Title
Posted by Nick24444, Jan 15, 2008 16:18

Midway Interactive, the noted game developer and publisher, today released information that it has chosen Dwight Howard, a member of the Orlando Magic basketball team, to have his likeness transferred onto the cover of Midway’s NBA Ballers: Chosen One, which is the latest title in the well-received NBA Ballers series. NBA Ballers: Chosen One is currently being developed for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 video game consoles sometime in Spring 2008. In addition, Atlanta Hawks player Al Horford will be depicted on the cover of the game.

George Gomex, who bears the title of executive producer at Midway, stated that the two NBA players (Howard and Horford) were “the perfect choices for NBA Ballers: Chosen One” as “Dwight (Howard) has already arrived as one of the best players in the NBA and looks to be a perennial All-Star” whereas “Al (Horford) is enjoying a fantastic rookie season after a stand-out collegiate career at Florida." The records of both players do support this statement as Howard has been made the NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month two months running in November and December, achieves roughly 20.0 points and 15.0 rebounds per game and currently is at the top of the NBA centers All-Star balloting list. Horford himself was the third overall pick in the 2007 draft year and was also named the NBA Rookie of the Month in November while still maintaining double-double figures as his progresses through the early stages of his career.

More information on NBA Ballers: Chosen One is available at www.nbaballers.com.
