Exit Games, a multinational firm offering mobile and online multiplayer games, has struck an agreement between itself and mobile technology firm Metismo in order to develop and ship materials for mobile and online multiplayer games. The deal contains terms whereby Exit Games’ multiplayer technology, Neutron, will be included into Metismo’s Bedrock Engine in order to assist with the creation and porting of software for use with name mobile and online systems such as J2ME, Flaas, BREW, Windows Mobile, and native Windows.
The CEO of Exit Games, Tom Sperry, stated on behalf of his company that it believed that the partnership “will have a remarkable impact on how games are produced and distributed” as “combining efforts with Metismo’s Bedrock Engine solution offers mobile game developers around the world a chance to create innovative, social, multiplayer games in a global environment with minimal investment.”
John Chasey, the CEO of Metismo, stated that the deal also offered advantages to Metismo as “Neutron’s multiplayer functionalities combined with our Bedrock Engine provides coders with an exciting new way to extend market reach with their games and strengthen customer loyalty.” Chasey also added that this was the beginning of activities for the company as the deal was “one of the many steps we are taking to align ourselves with industry leading partners in an effort to enable the most advanced consumer products to be brought to market.”
