Splitfish Appears at 2nd Annual Access Hollywood Event
Posted by Nick24444, Jan 24, 2008 16:37

Splitfish AG, a design firm specializing in the development of video game hardware, revealed its FragFX Playstation 3 accessory at this year’s “Stuff You Must” Lounge, which took place at the Sofitel in Hollywood. A number of well-known figures from the entertainment industry were present at the event and tried their hand at the most popular Playstation 3 first-person shooter titles, such as Unreal Tournament 3. Some of the celebrities and musical talent present were Zack Levi of the TV show “Chuck,” Corbin Blue of “High School Musical,” Jack McBrayer of “30 Rock,” Andre Royo from “The Wire,” and musician Josh Groban. All the celebrities who visited the Splitfish booth received a FragFX and a copy of Unreal Tournament 3. Zack Levi of Chuck started excitedly that “this [FragFX] is an awesome controller."

CVS Pharmacy donats a large amount of funds to Nancy O’Dell’s Best Buddies, which works to improve the lives of people with intellectual disabilities, as does Billy Bush’s Lollipop Theatre Network, which brings current theatrical releases to hospitalized children with life-threatening illnesses all over the nation. Last year, $100,000 were raised for these two charities and CVS Pharmacy hopes to exceed this figure this year. There will also be exposure and funds raised for The Actors Fund that distributes aid to those employed in the entertainment industr, -such as writers, actors, performers, stagehands, technical personnel, crafts makers, film editors, directors, and other necessary staffers.
