Rez HD and Chessmaster Live on Xbox Live Arcade This Week
Posted by Nick24444, Jan 28, 2008 12:02

Two new Xbox Live Arcade titles will come online this Wednesday. The first, an updated version of Tetsuya Mizguchi’s Rez HD, is a fast-paced wire frame game with a heavy industrial beat as a background to the game’s rapid tempo. Players of Rez HD will be taken into the worldwide computer network to make their way past computer barriers and gain control of the music to make beats of their own as they travel deeper into the network.  Rez HD is developed by Q Entertainment (responsible for Lumines Live! And Every Extended Extra Extreme) and will include brand new visuals and audio accompaniment. Rez HD will be made available for 800 Microsoft Points; more information on the title can be found here.

The other, a downloadable version of Ubisoft’s Chessmaster title, Chessmaster Live will give chess fans from all over the world the opportunity to test their skills against the AI controlled player or challengers of various skill lives from all over the world. Chessmaster Live retains the original chess game options, along with the Message Chat tool, that gives players the opportunity to play in matches that can last for months. The chess sets to be found in the game have their roots in the high quality boards created by the House of Staunton. This title will also be made for download everywhere, excepting Japan and Korea, for a price of 800 Microsoft Points. More information on Chessmaster Live is available here.
