We were recently informed that the Xbox Live Arcade Game, Battlestar Galactica, will be selling for half price on Saturday April 5th for a limited time of 24 hours. This means you can now nab Sierra Online’s blaster for 400 Microsoft points. This is all in conjunction with the start of the brand new Battlestar Galactica television season, which airs Friday April 4th.

Battlestar Galactica is a top-down space shooter. The single player campaign takes you through 10 missions based around some classic TV episodes, and the legendary ships from the TV series make appearances throughout the game. You can battle against enemy AI, or you can take the fight online with up to eight player multiplayer. Online modes include deathmatch (everyone for themselves in an all out blast), team deathmatch (two teams of four battle it out for victory in outer space) and domination mode (a combination of king of the hill and capture the flag or in this case turret).
